The series contains copies of certificates, descriptions, resolutions, petitions, maps, correspondence, and other documents filed with the Department of State relating to village incorporation and changes to the boundaries of incorporated villges in New York. It includes documents relating to initial incorporation, reincorporation, and annexation or diminishment of lands within existing village boundaries.
